953 Fuel Tank Help

Recommended Posts

Tonytoro416

Still in the process of restoring grandpas 953 and PO before grandpa had removed fuel tank from under the seat.  I was able to source tank, straps and blocks but I don’t know where the straps actually bolt to. Any help and or pictures would help but I know pictures would be hard to get

There are 2 holes in the rear tool box and 2 holes under the seat. Do you have the wooden spacer blocks that go above the tank?

I would appreciate it. Thanks so much. I had to make the whole toolbox area because it was rotted so I’d say I’ll have to drill holes.

Did you make it removable so you could install the fuel tank?

Drill some holes in the bottom of the tool box for drain holes. Dan coated his with bed liner I think.
