TonyToro 1,123 #1 Posted May 24 Hey everyone…a friend of a friend has an A-100 and he was told I mess around with WheelHorse tractors. Lol So he contacted me yesterday to say that his tractor that he bought new now has a wobbly shifter. I haven’t worked on one of these yet. I just looked at a diagram for the transmission but can’t find a diagram that shows a shifter. Before I tell him yeah I’ll take a look, I figured I would research a little. If anyone has encountered this and knows the fix that would be helpful as well. Any help on this would be appreciated. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Could be the cast aluminum housing has a crack in it. TonyToro 1,123 #15 Posted June 4 I had a few spare minutes tonight. Took the seat and seat pan off. Looks like someone was already in the transmission. There is blue gasket sealant around the shifter and gear case. The three bolts appear to have been thread from the inside? I can see threads around the shifter cover?? TonyToro 1,123 #16 Posted June 7 While Anthony and his friend were working on the new pulling tractor I took the shifter apart. Turned out the bolts were 1/4”. I think you are correct with the transmission model. I just happened to find this kit and looks like the right pieces but when I searched I couldn’t find models that it fit. More than likely it wouldn’t fit this transmission and would be my luck going by price I would have bought it and then wouldn’t work out. Lol I found all the parts for a bunch of different vendors. TonyToro 1,123 #20 Posted June 21 Success! The A-100 is good and tight now. It was super hot and I was thirsty while working on this… lol Installed a few NOS parts and used Lucas Grease.
