Using a rectifier for a Magnum on a K321.. is it possible?

Hey, I’ve been working on my C 141 project and I don’t have a rectifier for a k321 can I use one meant for a Magnum? as from what I’ve heard/read it’s basically the same engine as a K just with electronic ignition. I have a harness from I assume a 95 312 in the C141 and I have a magnum 12  but I’d like to try out the 14 hp k321 I just got. Both engines have a 15 amp starter correct? Thanks!

The  Magnum rectifier will work on the K series.  The issue is cooling.  K series rectifier are big finned things mounted on the tractor body.  The magnum unit is designed to be in the air shroud with lots of air blowing over it.  That said I have been running a Magnum style rectifier on my D200 for many years.  It is mounted in the hood stand...now there is probably more airflow there than on a C series hoodstand as the engine draws cooling air from the rear .

@pfrederi Thanks for the info. I’ll keep that in mind.
