Racinbob 12,496 #1 Posted May 21, 2025 It seems like I've had even less time to work on Dino now that nice weather has arrived but that's the case. Just an iddy-bitty update to prove I'm still on it as time allows. I made the replacement seat spring bumpers using table leg thingys. Heated in boiling water and press fit then trimmed down. Before trimmimg. I received the new decal set from Terry. I thought about the American series or carbon fiber but decided on the timeless original. I just had to see the fender pan covering the 10.50's. I got the PTO and drive linkages hooked up. I'll say again that this style steering tower sure makes things tougher to get at. I still need to get the main tins sprayed. Hopefully I'll get the final sanding on them done tomorrow and while I wait for a good day to spray I'll attack the fuel lines and rewire. Both quick jobs. I think I'll mount the electric fuel pump directly under the tank. 10

Racinbob 12,496 #4 Posted May 21, 2025 Thanks guys. It's got it's flaws but I originally intended to do a mechanical go thru and a quick makeover. Things just got out of control. I'm just hoping I can get the sheet metal to come out good. I'm still a HVLP newbie. The thought crossed my mind to go rattle can cuz I know I can make that look primo but dang it, I want hardener in it.

JoeM 9,386 #6 Posted May 22, 2025 Nice looking job you got there Bob! Agree, the paint with hardener is way better! Figure you might want to hide the pump in the back but I mounted one next to the engine and piped the outlet, worked good and picked up power at the the coil connection. Just sharing.

(frugal they say) And there is a chuck of rubber line from the gas tube to the carb for vibratory purposes. Edited May 22, 2025 by JoeM

peter lena 9,637 #10 Posted May 22, 2025 @Racinbob often refer to a frame length 5/16 steel brake line , tucked up into the inner frame corner bend , perfect holding / hiding spot , benefits ? eliminate a long run of fuel hose breakdown , only have tank to line and carb to line , filtered connections , used a barb and swage tube connection at transition points , had also verified fuel cleaning ,at tank to carb bowl , think about it , anything related to fuel hose breakdown was clean / clear , add STA BIL ounce or two to all my tank top offs , never had any return of fuel hose break down at any filter area , often refer to a chronic / repetitive problem as a perfect spot for change . have this in use for years , no rubber break down in my 3 tractor set ups at all . realise this is a contentious issue , my generator sits for months , and starts instantly , no fuel filter debris at all , what is the filter telling you ? also like , bolt on electrical lugs for ground issues , thanks for the photo tour , pete
