TerryLB 1 #1 Posted May 8 I've have a cooler Magnum M8 and it seems like the fuel pump ain't working right or just not getting no fire it'll turn over and it'll even run when I put a little bit of ether into the carburetor but it seems like no fuel is getting into the carburetor and I'm trying to look for a manual to do this and I can't seem to find it because it's such an old motor engine spec number 301-627 I'm no computer user so I really don't know where to look or how to look for this information but do you recommend
ineedanother 1,542 #2 Posted May 9 1) 2) don't spray ether in the carb to test it. Use gas if you need to. 3) Post your model and SN. Most manuals are available here. 4) If it is a fuel issue, trace it from the source. Pull the line off of the tank and see that it is getting to the fuel line. 5) follow the fuel line to the next junction and disconnect it to see that fuel is getting to that point. 6) Continue checking each point in the fuel delivery until you get to the carburetor. Disconnect the line and turn the engine over to see that the pump is pumping fuel through the fuel line directly into the carburetor. Once you're there, report what you found and we'll pretty much know how to proceed.
ineedanother 1,542 #3 Posted May 9 I suppose (and would recommend) that you pull the fuel line at the carb and turn the motor over to see if the pump is pumping before going through the steps above to see where the issue is. 2

953 nut 58,507 #6 Posted May 9 If your engine has been operating with gas that has ethanol in it that may be the cause of your problems. Ethanol WILL ruin the fuel system of small engines. This website will show you where real gas without ethanol can be found. https://www.pure-gas.org/ @ineedanother gave you some great information to troubleshoot with, hope you find the problem and it is an easy fix. 2
