Pullstart 65,264 #1 Posted May 5 (edited) We took a cruise over spring break with the kids. This was a real cool experience. It’s a bit long, but worth the time if you have it. Edited May 5 by Pullstart
Beap52 1,246 #2 Posted May 6 Any time spent with the kids is time well spent. I rode bicycles with to grandkids yesterday and hopefully they will remember spending time with grandpa years from now. Pam and I, along with two other couples who we haven't seen in several years, took a cruise to Alaska last fall. It was late enough in the year that the swimming pool didn't look inviting. It was our first cruise. The variety of food was really good and lots of it. We were impressed at the cleaning and polishing that was done by the ship's staff. Walking around the ship was fun--amazing how big those things are. There was a casino but we don't gamble. There were several bars but we don't drink. We visited several towns along the way and took tours or sight seeing in each. Because all three families lived in the Philippines several years, it was a hoot talking the the Pilipino workers on board. Pam and my take away is that it was a very interesting trip and happy we went. Reminiscing with old friends really made the trip for us. Towards the end of the cruise, everyone is expected to settle up their account. The fellow in front of us filled up one credit card and put his remaining bill on a second card. He must have had a lot of fun! Pam and I got ten dollars back. We had a lot of fun! In the picture, we've probably walked 1/4 of the length.
