I surrendered my strawberry plants to the rabbits and robins.   I have plenty of blackberries and red and wild black raspberries.

Do the rabbits eat rhubarb ?     Anyway, that would be easy to fence in.           Raspberry/rhubarb pie...:eusa-think:

Rabbits haven’t bothered mine, but the green beans, that’s a different story.

I have always fenced the green beans with no problem until last year when the voles tunneled in and ate every bean plant.

This year I planted them in buckets.

Voles? Those bastards ate over 100 tulip bulbs Betsy planted. She gave up.

@Achto rhubarb crisp sounds great with vanilla ice cream. Just googled a recipe. I will definitely be making that next. 👍

My great aunt ola was a master at pies. She used lard for shortening

They were pure rhubarb. I cannot find them anywhere without strawberries 😭

I've never had anything get into our rhubarb or heard of anyone having trouble with that.

We enjoy our rhubarb pie and also make rhubarb sauce and apple/rhubarb sauce. My aunt said two table spoons of apple / rhubarb sauce a day, keeps a body regular.
