Just in the video it may seem like it.

It needs to run faster than idle just to keep from stalling, no power, carb keeps leaking no matter what we do, some loud ticking going on and now it has a blown head gasket.

That engine is an excellent candidate for the demonstration of blowing up an engine at the big show next year! I'm sure someone could then use the parts off of it.

We didn’t scare him away at the show!

Not yet. He seems to enjoy it so far and he's learning

Cents it's a Tecky, better wrap it in bubble wrap so it doesn't blow up just sitting unused!

Yeah, it fired up but never really runs right. I haven't put a lot of time into it (And don't really want to). I just needed it because the shaft lines up to that trans without modifications so the trans and clutch could be checked and verified that they actually work.

Looks like someone else was working on it.

Yep.

Of the 3...

One had no known history.

One was possibly rebuilt or at least freshened up years ago.

The one that was on the 1974 C160-8 Tecumsehorse... I put new upper gaskets and had that  %!^#&@ carb apart several times.

That engine would start instantly and idle well but did have an odd tick.

The OHV Teccy is a curiosity to me but I want reliability and more torque. So off it went.

That'd be the third one.

Ran great at low speed. Not at all sure other than that.

What you need is a Briggs Vanguard that'll do 4,500 RPM.

I have engines to replace it. It'll take some work since the shaft heights are different.

That video was in 2nd gear and about 2500 rpm on the engine. 3rd gear at full 3600 will probably go faster than you want to go without any suspension at all. But I got some ideas and parts depending how deep I want to go with it.
