So far as original- what you said could be said for every tractor I have! Try as I might, none of my machines can claim 100% originality. A couple get close, but not all the way. I want to get a 520 axle for my Raider 14 as well. Well I more meant originality as far as engines and such. I can't claim any of mine are or will be original either.

kpinnc 14,412 #54 Posted June 10 (edited) Not much done tonight. Got the PTO on. Still gotta install the linkages. Using the 4 inch drive pulley for an 8 speed, and the same size on the rear at the transmission. You have to modify the mounting of the engine but the side bosses align perfectly for a Wheel Horse PTO bracket. Edited June 10 by kpinnc 1

Just meant that the bottom mounting bolt pattern and PTO height is different, but the side bolt pattern is like a Kohler. PTO bracket bolts right up. kpinnc 14,412 #58 Posted June 13 Been doing a little mock up. I have a couple rear fenders. I think I like the narrow rear fender better. Got too much going on for much of anything else until the end of next week. Maybe I can get these parts cleaned up by then. The first pic is the wide rear fender. Just for reference.
kpinnc 14,412 #59 Posted June 16 (edited) I don't think it will ever stop raining. My yard looks like an uncut interstate highway median... I am not complaining about the rain. Maybe just the intensity, duration, and number of times it's come in the past 10 days... Oh well, it gave me time to paint my wheels. I stole @Sparky Mike's wheel paint color and I like it! None of my wheel weights will fit the fronts, so I ran the valve stems on the outside. And for any who are curious, Rustoleum crystal clear works fine over Krylon. Sprayed it on immediately just as you would over Rustoleum. Edited June 16 by kpinnc 3

kpinnc 14,412 #61 Posted Monday at 09:45 PM (edited) Thing of beauty: I got some steekers today from Terry @Vinylguy and they are super nice! Now if it would just cool off (or just not be 100% humid) I can get these machines (this and my 701) completed! I can't function almost at all above 80⁰ or so depending on humidity. Southern existence for me would be out of the equation at this point.
oliver2-44 10,627 #65 Posted Tuesday at 02:11 AM I put a used window unit in my shop about 10 yeas ago. I replaced it roughly 7 years ago with a 12000btu unit for 470sq/ft well insulated building. It has worked well, but Currently it will get it 72f over night but it gets to about 80 on 100f afternoons. I need to pull it out and clean the fins again. Kind of afraid too as all the components are mounted to the metal pan with plastic coated cardboard. Can’t get it too wet to spray fins with water based ac cleaner. I have an extra filter in front of it, but lots of sawdust, grinding, painting happen in the shop at times.

And a toilet. And a couch. Hmmm, maybe I see why she would be against it. I'd never come in the house! I actually have a portable AC in the garage, but it isn't big enough to cool it unless it runs all night first. Open the big door once and it wouldn't catch up. Guess I need a pretty healthy window unit or a smaller split system. Maybe one day...

I absolutely will be investing in an AC unit of some configuration as soon as I can. My garage is insulated, and that includes the door. It just needs a cool air maker!
