Marv 994 #1 Posted March 31, 2025 I have a Remington 8" pole saw. The trigger on the little saw broke off. That is not an available part for replacement. The trigger is a hard black material. Thought it might be ABS, so i tried ABS cement on it. Didn't work. Maybe y'all have some suggestions. I don't want to scrap the saw. It is a handy little bugger. Wayne0 1,448 #2 Posted March 31, 2025 JB Weld has a "Plastic Bonder". You could try that or go my way and make your own out of what's on hand.
SylvanLakeWH 30,240 #3 Posted April 1, 2025 Can you get to it with a piece of metal / plastic and drill / rivet an extension?
adsm08 4,044 #4 Posted April 1, 2025 (edited) Look for some stuff called Q-bond. I get it from my Matco dealer, but Amazon and a lot of hobby shops carry it. Edited April 1, 2025 by adsm08

953 nut 63,665 #6 Posted April 1, 2025 Another option would be to look on for a "PARTS" saw of the same model. Quite often people put broken stuff up for sale for psrts. 1
Wayne0 1,448 #7 Posted April 1, 2025 It's really amazing what you can do with a file if you put your mind to it.

Brass, aluminum, steel, what ever works. Gotta' say, I'm good with files. If I can't buy it, I can most likely make it. Marv 994 #11 Posted April 12, 2025 Thank you all for your replies. I tried the JB Weld plastic bonder ( the tan one). Didn't work. It never set. Looks like I got a bad one. I contacted the company and they are sending a new kit. Meanwhile I used original JB Weld on it. I have used the saw a little and it is still holding.
