Thetbone 58 #27 Posted April 22 UPDATE: I ran out of time to accomplish what I planned for the work I wanted to do, so I will regroup this Fall and get after it quicker! Lessons learned. I did however get some new rubber for the Wheelhorse, got the seat back on, the right way, damn seats can be tricky!!! As the pistons move in and out the crank case pressure will change making the diaphragm move. If you are mechanically inclined (and brave) enough you could use a vacuum hose from a car or truck to check the diaphragm applying and removing vacuum to test the pumping action. No vacuum should leak out while doing this. To test the two check valves you should be able to blow low pressure air or some spray carburetor cleaner from the suction side to the discharge side but nothing should be able to pass from the discharge side to the suction.
