rjg854 12,151 #28 Posted April 30 Had 4 button bucks scoot by the house Monday morning, to quick to get a picture of tho. I'm thinking they were last year's fawns. Momma is probably pushing them out for this year's offspring.
Ed Kennell 41,775 #29 Posted May 6 Had a great day stocking trout yesterday. We have many kids only fishing events. This was our first kids stocking event. We had 20 Sunshine Kids and teachers helping stock today. It took some extra care and planing but it was a great experience. We will do this again. We did have one accident, luckily after the kids had boarded the bus and left. One of the old timers, while stepping of the train, fractured his hip. Took about an hour to get an ambulance there and get him loaded.

Ed Kennell 41,775 #33 Posted June 3 With all the rain we had in May, the streams were too muddy to fish. The water has cleared now and the trout fishing has been excellent the last few days. Another good day today and when I stepped up on the bank to unhook a nice rainbow, I looked down and this guy was laying at me feet. You can see my hand in the left edge of the first picture. He never moved as I pushed the grass away. 1 2
Ed Kennell 41,775 #34 Posted June 7 Today was our kids fishing derby at our club pond. We put 400 trout in on Tuesday. This morning 37 kids caught about half of them. Most got their five fish limit. A light rain caused a small turnout this year. But the kids can fish all week before it is opened to adults. I fileted most of them to make about $200 for the club. 2
SylvanLakeWH 28,311 #35 Posted June 7 Volunteer at a Shrine in town. This little guy was hanging out all morning... No sign of mom... Cute, but in this very urban area on a main road I fear mom has met a bad end and abandonment is probable... 1
oliver2-44 10,679 #36 Posted June 8 This little guy was parked my moms behind the well house at the camp garden. Moms was grazing down the road. He didn’t budge while I picked vegetables 200 ft away.
Ed Kennell 41,775 #37 Posted June 9 Fishing for stripers on the Susky River with another 80+ yo friend this morning. Md has a 19-24 inch slot and a 1/day limit. We had to fish hard to get two that were under the 24" limit. Too big throw back. A 22 and 23"er we were able to keep. 2
OutdoorEnvy 1,766 #38 Posted June 9 Nice looking fish Ed! Fishing for slots like that is tough...but can make the day longer too, which isn't the worst thing Glad you guys got your two
Wayne0 1,163 #39 Posted June 9 Slots are tough. It kills you to throw back a 38"+ Striper! I fish the Merrimack up here and there are some big fish! Damn good eatin' too.
