lae51967 18 #1 Posted February 21 I need to ship an 8-speed transaxle about 760 miles. Looking for recommendations on the best way to send it. Cost is naturally a factor but also getting it there with no damage. Thanks for any input I can get.

Cee245 824 #3 Posted February 22 Lots of guys have used Fastenal with good results.
oliver2-44 10,679 #4 Posted February 22 Fastenal will require any oil to be drained and the transaxle securely fasted to a skid. Their rates go by size and weight. So don’t make the skid excessively oversized. I suspect you will want to have the dipstick tube and shifter removed and securely tie wrapped to the skid.
Pullstart 66,597 #5 Posted February 22 I’ve crated a transmission and shipped it fed ex freight. I want to say it was $150 or so.
