ML3 1,497 #76 Posted May 13 (edited) Unfortunately I'm likely gonna have to cancel trip. My RJ decided to destroy pull start mechanism while running. Starter/generator on 753 isn't engaging. Fuel leak on 953. Won't be able to get all them repaired in time. Also as I've already mentioned after almost 4mo of my dad being sick he passed 2weeks ago. Still trying to get caught up on everything that I had to put off while he was in hospital. Currently my mom needs help with taking care of a few things. Gotta prioritize between what I need to do verses what I wanna do. I may try to fly out there for afternoon on Friday if I can & weather permits. Found a few close by local airstrips. Been texting buckeyes today so if by chance I can make it told him he's welcome to tag along. Edited May 14 by ML3 1

JPWH 6,303 #78 Posted May 13 (edited) I had reservations for a house for 3 nights I have to cancel because I am not going to be there this year. I found out today I have to have hernia surgery and will be out of work for a minimum of two weeks the end of July so I will have to work. I will be unemployed after August 29th and wouldn't want to get fired before that. Edited May 13 by JPWH

You are earning quite a few frequent flyer points at the hospital. I pray that all will go well with the surgery. The surgeon I seen today said it was going to be a challenge to do the repair because of scar tissue from past surgeries. I'll let you know about the frequent flyer points.lol Thanks for the offer but I have refrained from purchasing this year. If you fly into there and you can let me know by at least the beginning of the week I can arrange to pick you up from there. It's about 3 minutes from where I work, and maybe 30 minutes from the show. Edited May 14 by adsm08

We can try to leave time so I can take you up for a ride if you wanted?? My girlfriend tonight was saying to get tractors fixed & quit pouting so we can take them. She said to just put off everything until after show. Idk.....maybe shes right?? I don't like being all last minute & unplanned. I'll try to get things figured out soon & decide.

If you do come in and land at any of the other places reasonably close I'll help out with a ride. Personally, I'd rather show with no tractors than stress over not having running tractors. Most years that I even bother to bring one its only to go around and grab up parts that I bought in the wagon and take them back to the car when I leave. Or you can take the @Pullstart approach, bring the broken tractors so there is something to work on.

I bought his RJ he had for sale. If I can actually make it to show w/tractors then I mentioned just convoy w/him rest of trip there. I get it bout not taking tractors & as I get older I'm really done with towing, especially long distances. I attended last 2yrs with no tractors & at least once I wanna bring my RJ, 753, 953, & Suburban rat rod. 2
