cleat 8,986 #352 Posted March 30 It finally warmed up enough to get the tractor started. Some fresh non-ethanol fuel was added to the fuel tank I pumped some air into the fuel tank with a hand pump to fill fuel line and prime the carb. Rear of tractor was jacked up so it would not take off on me since hydro neutral has not yet been set. Engine started virtually immediately. I let it run for a while to warm up and verify it was running well. Air cleaner housing installed. Air cleaner element and cover installed. Air cleaner cover installed. Idle speed base and governed set as per manual. Hydro neutral set as per manual. Tractor rear was then set on the ground and I was finally able to take it for it's maiden drive. It drives perfectly. Here is the manual I use to set the idle and hydro. Wheel horse service manual.pdf 1

Seat pivot plate bolted to seat assembly. All 8 bolts tightened. I have the seat set to full rearward position. My 1993 520h has no sort of seat bumper installed. The rear 5/16" bolt heads are making contact with the rear fender pan, metal on metal. My 520 parts catalog shows a "BUMPER SJ5514 BLACK Part #111071" that should be there. Apparently these are made by 3m and called "Bumpon" bumpers that install with adhesive? I assume on the rear fender pan directly beneath the bolthead? I like the looks of these a lot better. Do you have a part number and source?

Rubber Feet 1-1/2 If you look around the listings hopefully you will find some with a 5/16" center hole for the mounting bolts, I got lucky and found some. kpinnc 18,403 #357 Posted 9 hours ago I bought rubber bumpers more than 20 years ago and glued them on the fender on my 314-8 where the springs would contact the fender. Never had an issue with them coming loose. About 2 inch diameter but 1.5 inches tall.

eric8 6 #359 Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I took a closer look today once home from work and found some “witness marks” from where the OEM bumpers were placed. Just aft of the rear seat tray bolts. Attached is photos of the OE bumpers just for reference. I’m normally a stickler for keeping things factory pure, but this is one case when I think your through bolt with a donut bumper is far superior edit: I’m referencing my 93 520h’s factory setup. I realize this post was about a 416, so they may have been different Edited 6 hours ago by eric8

Wheelhorse Parts were well known to be Standard Parts whenever possible. They used whatever pieces were readily available on the market when the machines were built. Sometimes factory is best. Times change. Technology changes. Sometimes we can replace originals with far superior modern items.
