Tractor lost some more parts.

 

Some of the parts cleaned and sitting on the bench.

 

Hydraulic tubes and hoses cleaned up.

 

Front wheels cleaned up.

The other side unfortunately does not look as good.

 

Wire harness as pulled.

 

I got a few little parts bead blasted.

Hydraulic valve cleaned up.

Here are the fittings as found showing correct angles.

 

Valve has new Viton #111 O rings installed and all port openings are sealed off.

Valve will be painted soon.

Hydraulic cylinder cleaned and sanded.

You can see the bolts, nuts, spacers, and O rings used to plug the ports (same setup used on the valve).

 

Cylinder primed.

 

Hydro cam plate bracket bead blasted and primed.

 

Tie rods with ball tightened a bit using a hydraulic press then bead blasted and primed.

@cleat I’m looking forward to the final result. I do have a question for you hydro aficionados though. Would the Hydraulic lift parts off a later 520 fit a C series?

Probably, but you'll have to make up a new mounting bracket for the spool valve. The cylinder should have the same dimensions, and be rebuildable.

No tractor work today.

My Wife's Mother died this morning so we spent the day at the hospital, going to the bank, and talking to the funeral home.

 

Her and her sister are going to the funeral home tomorrow and I am helping my daughter pack for her third year of college and I will be driving her up to Ottawa on Friday.

She is super excited to be heading back to Ottawa.

We live out in the country about 10Km from Brockville.

Brockville is a small city of around 22,000 people that she say is boring with nothing to do.

 

Ottawa on the other hand has a population of around 1,000,000 people with a lot of attractions.

 

Me on the other hand will drop her off and get out as large cities are not my thing.

Dughter is moved into her college residence.

 

This is all that is left of my poor tractor now.

 

A bunch of little parts have been painted, bagged and boxed.

 

Hub set screws and jamb nuts, PTO rod trunnion and clip, steering shim washers bead blasted and painted.

 

PTO rod and hoop bead blasted and one coat of paint applied.

Not much happening right now.

It's cloudy and spitting rain.

There is a car show just up the road and I am hoping to take a car up to display.

 

I did get the tie rods ready.

I know I may need longer bolts but otherwise ready to be bolted on.

Hydro lifted up using swivel 3/8" eyebolts, clevises, chains, slings, and an engine leveler.

 

Hydro sat on three jack stands using a 3/4" bar through the rear hitch mount and a long 3/8" bolt threaded into a mounting boss.

 

Hydro will be moved outside likely tomorrow or the next day for final cleanup and paint.

Belt guard bracket sanded and primed.

 

Engine plate sanded and primed.

 

Front plate sanded and primed.

 

Hood stand plate sanded and primed.

 

Foot rest chemically stripped and washed.

Hydro wire brushed, sanded, and final degreasing done.

Primer applied (it is still wet, that is why it looks shiny).

Hydro rear end now has two coats if IH red.

There were no leaks so I left the seals as is.

If one leaks later on i will replace it then.
