I had 6 gallons of the stuff... Not cheap. I used a gallon of the 5 gallon bucket, and was sure I was going to use all 6 gallons, so I poured the 1 gallon in to mix it up. And as I was getting towards the last 1/4 of the barn, I realized I was going to have extra, ended up with about a gallon and half extra.. ohh well I can always use it for something haha.

AlexR 1,796 #207 Posted May 6 Got the barn doors up. The doors I got for free, but I had to put the chalkboard insert in them. The track I already had it was laying in the barn, I just repainted it. And then got the door hardware. 5 6
Achto 29,349 #208 Posted May 7 Just got a chance to read through this. To say that I impressed would be an understatement. This was a huge under taking and you are doing excellent work. 1 1
AlexR 1,796 #209 Posted May 7 Got the stairs done today. And yes they are steep it's 9 3/4" rise. But the treads are 2x12's so there is plenty to step on, and it's 4' wide. Considering before all they had was some 2x3's screwed to a board to climb up I would say it's far better. 3

AlexR 1,796 #212 Posted May 8 Stairwell is enclosed now. Used every single 2x10 I got including the ones I pulled up from the floor that I saved. So it was just the right amount, I still have quite a bit of 2x8's I can use for the chicken coop. 3 8
AlexR 1,796 #213 Posted May 10 (edited) Of course I didn't get to get a bunch of finished pictures, before stuff started getting put in for the barn sale. But I got some of the larger holes in the walls filled in mainly on the wall to the lean-to. And I got the stair enclosure stained as well as the stairs themselves. This will be the last update for a little while if we can get it cleared out again after the sale I will get some more photos then. Next will probably be the chicken coop and some work in the bottom of the barn. And bonus picture of the chicks getting bigger Edited May 10 by AlexR 3 3
