87 416-8 horse 423 #1 Posted July 28, 2024 I’m currently it the process of stocking up on parts for my 86 ford f150. Here soon I’m going to strip it down to the frame and go through everything. While I’m at it I plan to strip and paint the frame. I would like to hear some feedback on what paint I should use. I’m going to sandblast the frame. I’d like it to look decent because you will be able to see some of it. It needs to stand up to salt and not hold dust from gravel roads to much.
ri702bill 9,326 #2 Posted July 28, 2024 Eastman (and others) sell an OE style satin chassis black - good quality - NOT inexpensive. 1
Keaton 465 #3 Posted July 29, 2024 if you wanted to go all out if you could find some or be willing to pay for it, I think it would be a good idea to have it powder coated, I have heard its expensive but worth it.
