Keaton 466 #1 Posted June 24, 2024 I have not talked to my dad yet but I went to put the sediment bowl because it was leaking when I went and put it on, so I took it back out and put it back on, then it got loose and I thought the threads were just clean, then I look it off and there was prices if aluminum shavings on the threads, I don't know what to do now, that was the last piece I had to put on
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,499 #2 Posted June 25, 2024 If the original threads are 1/8" NPT can you increase the threads to 1/4" NPT and install a bushing allowing you to use the original sediment bowl? 1/8" NPT has an OD of .405" (approx.13/32") 1/4" NPT has an OD of .540" (approx. (35/64") NPT threads require a sealer
Keaton 466 #3 Posted June 25, 2024 @gwest_ca my dad said we will get a bushing to put in there, it is a 1/4 Id pipe, 1/8 of threadd. and I got a new sediment bowl from wheel horse parts and more, and transfered the nipple and the pipe. I will post updates
