Sup guys, names J-Rod I'm from Placerville California.

Just picked up this little dude for a whopping $60. Don't know a thing about em, but I figured if I can build a rock crawler, I can build a mini tractor. So far the only numbers that I can find to identify it is B10-0 and 3501 and the letter N below the shifter, which to me seems like a silly way to show a shift order besides the Neutral, but I'm sure there is a reason. Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I added some more pictures to the website thread I posted at the top of a motor that came with my recent purchase of this WH. I can't figure out what kind it is, anyone know what it is or where I might be able ID it?

The engine is an HH (Heavy Horizontal) series Tecumseh and is probably 10 or 12 horsepower. It was undoubtedly on a Sears Craftsman tractor based on the lovely calf crap paint color.

Post the (Sears) model number off the tag here we might be able to decipher it for you.

If you have a small boat it would make a perfect anchor.

There might not be a tag either... the number 143.xxxxxxx might be stamped into the shroud.

There is another Suburban resto going on here that might give you some good tips towards yours. There are several other excellently documented restos in the Work in Process section as well. Look through the picture gallery at both the tractors (400 and 550) and the literature... lots of documentation here in the forum. Help is only a few words away... and there's folks online pretty much 24/7 here.

I just laughed my face off from reading TT post! LOL! So the numbers are as follows on the "Calf Crap" motor:

Model: 143 642022 Serial: 4044E

I kinda Googled them at work but really didn't find much, didn't really spend much time on it either. Gonna look right now for an hour or so. But I know you guys will be like Blah blah blee blu...TA DA! Poof here ya go!

I bought this tractor on a whim just because I like STUFF, and thought I could Fab it together and play around. Really cool to find out there are some die hard tractor guys that have a sense of humor and like STUFF like I do. Really excited to read all the threads and learn the way of the tractor!
