peter lena 9,176 #4 Posted May 29, 2024 @snowhound often refer to related anything at a movement point ? never look at a problem with only the most obvious failure lookin at you ? simple easy to me , my PTO / MUEL drive belt moves with ease ? most of the stuff I see is solid binding rust , at every hand off area , any possible thought , or interest to other related drag / binding points ? nothing sarcastic intended , but this is a never ending obvious correction . realise this is a constant issue on any related , linkage / movement point / area . repetitive failures , are your best opportunity , to eliminate them . make a detail change , you already know what is failing . for the purest , you could not possibly , make any improvement . so you replace in kind ? makes no sense to me , my decks spin up with no effort or squealing pto drive clutch , how could that be ? BTW like the TRACTOR SUPPLY drive belts , no issues ,pete
snowhound 105 #5 Posted May 29, 2024 Peter, I agree with everything that you said, you should always look at the whole picture. In this case the belt isn't being replaced due to a failure, I recently purchased a 48" deck but the needed belt wasn't included so I need to purchase one.
