The C-160 Auto is near 50 yrs old. (I have two of them.)   You see any drips on the deck or the floor. If so, you can do this to restore.  Otherwise, you'll need to replace it or cut it open to rebuild it.  It could also be the leaking int he control valve that is mounted to the side of the tractor. Do you see any leaks around this?...or the hose connetions. ??

I believe this is normal. Even if you replaced every o-ring in the valve and cylinder, and all hydraulic lines, you'd probably still have seepage in the pump. This is a low pressure low volume system. Nowhere close to a standard 3000 PSI hydraulic system.

So long as you don't have external leaks, I don't think it's anything to worry about.

@Condor,  have any mineral oil ? perfect spot on that foot pad to try a paint recovery , only if you want to , would dampen it first with a penetrating oil , spray , soak , let it sit a couple days , then clean off  and try the mineral oil soak on it . probably pull that paint right out, and it was easy too , just an opportunity , pete

It should be an ORB SAE#5 fitting.  If the O ring it self is bad you can replace that. If it still leaks the swivel in the fitting is bad you will new a new hose.  Wheel horse parts and More in the vendor section has hoses...

Agree. ORB #5 fittings are not real common but there are several online sources for them either as fittings or in complete custom hoses.

If you can provide sources it would be appreciated, one of our vendors uses #6 because of the unavailability of parts.

It has been two years since I did the hydraulics upgrade to add two remote circuits to my 518-H++ but these are companies where I found parts. The ORBs were only used for the connections to the cylinders and the control valve. All the other plumbing was JIC 37º.

I also ordered hoses from https://www.surpluscenter.com

Lastly, my local truck hydraulics shop was able to special order a limited set of ORB #5 hose ends.

I have FOUR  adapters to reduce ORB 6 Female hyd hose to ORB 5 male.  You can then use the more common ORB 6 hoses to adapt to these older ORB 5 valves, cylinders, etc.  These are NEW.  The adapter has ORB 6 female and ORB 5 male.

$10 each... Pair of the for $18....  All 4 for $32.  Add $5 to ship them in USA.  Pay via Paypal
