Cody 277 #1 Posted April 13, 2024 I went to pick up a tractor that was forsale and ended up coming home with 5 but that's a story for another time! It was this 1267 that I wanted originally, has new Firestone ags on the back a decent 2 piece seat and front weights. Unfortunately the rear weights are bolens but I still call it a win. This poor tractor has had so many modifications over the years, for starters someone put an electric over hydraulic lift on it, I just opened the hood to see someone also added a sending unit to the fuel tank and had a gauge in the dash. Floor boards we added, he drilled a big hole in the hood so he wouldn't have to open it to put fuel in it. 🤦♂️The list goes on and on but i thought it was kinda neat how people adapt things over the years. He definitely had some ingenuity! Now it's time to unmolest it and give it a second life.
squonk 43,844 #2 Posted April 13, 2024 Yup that's some cantankerin goin on. I hope he ran some big wires to that fuel sender! Those 1267's empty that little tank pretty fast. That me be why the hole is there too. My 1267 is modded too in a different way! 2
ebinmaine 72,787 #3 Posted April 14, 2024 @Cody Those are some interesting and practical modifications. I'm not sure I'd leave the hole in the hood... but maybe. The sending unit and electric/ hydro lift is awesome. Useful applications. I'd leave em. Niiiiice find!!
Cody 277 #4 Posted April 14, 2024 I believe the electric pump for the hydraulics was possibly a convertable top motor/pump. The lines coming off it were brake lines and then adapted to fit hydraulic hose. Unfortunately it's all removed and a donor tractor is providing all the pieces to make this correct. Only thing I don't have is the latch for the seat, and the original 2 spoke steering wheel. I have a 3 spoke wheel from a raider that will have to work for the time being.

Hard to get these six speeds. I have a 1057 the has a three spoke wheel. They may have updated them at the end of the run. I have always like the looks of a two spoke wheels my self but may be they had issues with them being a little week. Cody 277 #6 Posted April 23, 2024 After a few nights of tinkering I got the 1267 pretty well back to original condition. It was a lot worse then I originally thought, even had to change the frame due to the original being so badly bent the hood wouldn't fully close. Theres 2 pictures of it with a straight edge running the full length of the frame. As soon as the replacement seat comes it'll look a lot better. I had to switch the dash tower with one from a raider 10 because the original had a 2 inch hole drilled in it for a fuel guage. I need to find a replacement rocker switch for the lights, does anyone know of a suitable replacement that looks close to factory?
