Kholer k301 S Oil

Recommended Posts

Brooklyn581

I have an Electro Charger 12 with a kholer k301 s engine. The manual on these days to only use straight 30 weight engine oil and to not use 10w30. I bought this from the dealer though who recommended it and I'm thinking oil has changed since 1969.

It's this going to damage my engine?

Should be fine.

I run full synthetic multi vis in all the machines.

!0-W-30 may smoke a bit but won't harm the engine. I prefer to use a diesel rated 30 because of the zink content.

WHX??

I would run that oil any time if cold weather starts are required. Will not hurt a thing.

I use cheaper TSC strait 30 but then known to add some zinc and other additives.

I got 20 tractors to feed...

Thanks guys. Sound like it's a  safe oil. Just gotta tackle this hydro leak now from my other post. Looks a little more serious than I thought origionally.

Got the new exhaust on today though and it sounds sweet.

Synthetic Blend? After an engine rebuild, I run conventional diesel 10W30 for 50 hours, then switch to full synthetic 10W30. I do not believe in synthetic blends, use one or the other.
