AHS 1,411 #1 Posted February 26 Im going Saturday to pick up the non running 520H and 518H. I was wondering if they had a knob for ‘drive’ and ‘free wheel’? Eaton 700 & 1100? I know my 73 14hp/sundstrand does, and it is easy to wheel around. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ed Kennell 35,907 #4 Posted February 26 No, no tow valves on the Eaton 700 and 1100s. The earlier Eaton 5 has a tow/drive valve. As Mike and Lynn said, the 1100s can by hand pushed slowly. Jiggling the motion control lever around the neutral position will help. Towing or pushing with a tractor may cause damage. The Eaton 700s are nearly impossible to move. cleat 4,996 #5 Posted February 26 If the 520 has been sitting for a long time the oil will have drained out of the pump and it will push easily. I just pushed one from a garage out back through a few inches of snow about 300' and it moved easily and quietly. It has been sitting there for a couple of months at least. I got a 518-H where the PO had ruined the Eaton by letting it roll fast down a steep ramp off his raised pickup truck numerous times. AHS 1,411 #11 Posted February 26 (At the sellers house) At the end of this week ill go and pick up the 518 and the 520. The 518 is 10’ from the driveway. The 520 is right at the edge of the driveway.
