AJ Desalvo 22 #1 Posted February 22 Hello again My 657 has the k181 engine. The fuel supply is straight from the fuel tank. There is not a fuel pump installed on the engine. The engine runs nice with the current system. Should I make new fuel lines and install a fuel pump or leave it be? I have started to research a new pump but not sure if the aftermarket pumps are worth the effort. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. kpinnc 10,776 #5 Posted February 22 @BillD made this one on his Kohler. Far better than rebuilding one IMO, and these are reliable pulse setups. I like an original as well. That being said, down here in NC we're lucky to find a tractor at all. Original machines are extremely rare. Absolutely none of my tractors would even be usable if I didn't implement a few mods. Several of my tractors that are very good machines are at best Frankenstein monsters. Of course I have a tendency to "upgrade" where I think it deserves improvement. Short version: I prefer original tractors, and am jealous of the folks up north in that respect. But when my choice is running and working vs originality- I'm gonna lean towards the former.
