Sprucing up a C120

Hello Folks

Just asking on a recommendation on shade of white you have used to get close to the current color on wheels. Almost looks like an antique white. The body touch up I may leave alone as its gonna impossible to match the faded red. I'll try compound it out to give it little more luster. TIA.

@ANTPER  personally like the original shade of NAVAJO WHITE , https://www.google.com/search?q=navajo+white+spray+paint&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS866US866&oq=navajo+white+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgIEAAYgAQyBggAE  , using this on repaints / touch up just is a very good fit, also shop around for pricing / availability . pete

We use the Rust-Oleum 2x Navajo White.

Some folks prefer a much darker tan tone. I've seen people use almond as well.

We've had some mid-60s Wheels off and the Navajo color seems to be dead on.

I used Rustoleum Ivory Bisque on my 1054 wheels. It is not a bright white or a darker tinted white. It depends on what you prefer, other tractors white wheels look great also.

Not in any white shade, but I have tossed some gloss black on a thing or two.  I hadn’t heard of it before but saw a handful of cans on the clearance shelf at my local ACE.  I took a chance and wish now, that there was still more so cheap!  It’s hard, durable and dries fast!

It's your machine to do with as you wish, so take this with a grain of salt...

If you're going for accuracy that the WH police can't gripe about, then almond is closer to correct for anything prior to the early 70s, with a lighter "linen" color used afterwards- particularly after 73.

I don't have any C-series machines, so it's pretty much all I use on the older tractors.

The pic below is Rust-Oleum Almond. My Bronco is close to the same tractor as a C-series, so the last pic is for reference.

Almond does look real good and so does the Nav. white. I know what I'll do. One side Nav. white other side almond. I'll get the best of both worlds and you won't even notice the difference unless you walk around it. :)

White fades enough in a year or so that it likely won't matter!

I have in ivory. I liked the color but not as impressed with the durability as Pullstart.

I'll second that. In Van Sickle. Or ol 55 if the tractor is getting sold.

Put the model number from the tractor in the search key here on Redsquare.  There's a way to decipher it on some models too.

We had a can of that here from Ace. Seems like it was about halfway between Navajo White and Almond.

Well fer starters Ant...

:text-worthless:

Particularly one of the name plate. That will tell the year. If it is missing the one on the motor will if it hasn't been repoed.

@kpinnc As a Sargent in the Wheel Horse Police Department I think your Rustoleum almond is about as close as you can get to the factory color. Anyone disagreeing will be subject to disciplinary action.

I use the rustoleum antique white and I'm happy with the color. It's very close to the few sets of original wheels I have.
