bell 11 #1 Posted August 22, 2009 I picked up a pretty decent L-107 today... Didn't have any spark, so I pulled the flywheel and filed the points. Went to tighten the nut with the impact and the end of the crank broke off.... I don't get it, it wasn't even tight yet. As soon as I hit the trigger, it snapped off. Wonder if it might have been broke already? There was enough threads sticking out to get the nut back on, so I went ahead and got it running. It knocks a little and smokes, so I didn't feel soo bad. It will probably get a Kohler transplant this fall... Here she is!
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted August 22, 2009 Looks saveable Jon. I have 3 or 4 here & find them very capeable & fun to use. Double check your impact & see if you had it set to "Kohler" flywheel nut setting. "Edit"...is that an aluminium steering wheel like the ones used by Moto Mower? bell 11 #3 Posted August 22, 2009 I'll have to check the impact.... LMAO Note to self, ONLY use a torque wrench on flywheel nuts.... At least I learned this valuable lesson on a Tejunkseh... Yes, the steering wheel is JUST like the one on a Moto-Mower I had a few months ago...
