Picked up a Lawn Ranger today...

Recommended Posts

I picked up a pretty decent L-107 today...

Didn't have any spark, so I pulled the flywheel and filed the points. Went to tighten the nut with the impact and the end of the crank broke off.... :thumbs2: I don't get it, it wasn't even tight yet. As soon as I hit the trigger, it snapped off. Wonder if it might have been broke already? There was enough threads sticking out to get the nut back on, so I went ahead and got it running. It knocks a little and smokes, so I didn't feel soo bad. It will probably get a Kohler transplant this fall...

Here she is!

Looks saveable Jon.

I have 3 or 4 here :thumbs2: & find them very capeable & fun to use.

Double check your impact & see if you had it set to "Kohler" flywheel nut setting.

"Edit"...is that an aluminium steering wheel like the ones used by Moto Mower?

I'll have to check the impact.... LMAO

Note to self, ONLY use a torque wrench on flywheel nuts.... At least I learned this valuable lesson on a Tejunkseh... :thumbs2:

Yes, the steering wheel is JUST like the one on a Moto-Mower I had a few months ago...
