It is always amusing (to me) that we took the time to fabricate a guard for what, the drive wheels??? Polish and oil up that guard and Maybe to keep all of the severed limbs away from the internal moving parts???:lol:   Totally fine with a responsible operator.  I am not super familiar with many of those:D

I'm sure there was no concern for operator safety in 1949 Treepep     That tin housing is to lay the cut material to each side and make a clear path for the machine and operator.:)

@Ed Kennell  obviousely  , no safety  anything related to those , being dragged like a rag doll  thru brush / thorns , behind that JARI  unit was something you do not forget . Pete
