Would like to see a pic of that.

Part # would be in the IPL in the files section. The 520s that get parted out these days a replacement shouldn't be hard to find.

Finally got the time to swap it out today. The disk was over due as well. The Fleabay one came with a worn out disk which I relined.

WHX wanted a pic, so here it is. See how many cracks you can find.

That thing was a grenade just waiting to go off. Ouch if it ever did.

Somewhere along the line it must've been getting overheated from slipping of the clutch or belt or both at the same time

Wondering if someone sprayed it with water while it was hot?

If they aren't adjusted, they get far hotter than the engine temp due to slipping.

@Wayne0  THAT INNER NEEDLE BEARING , likes a HI TEMP GREASE , after an initial clean cloth wipe out ,like the lucas x tra heavy duty green , grease 550 deg flash point , just enough grease to lightly cover the bearing , excess flings onto clutch disk , avoid that . might also replace the outer bearing , which is sealed , Napa has it in stock . might also check out related mule drive bearings , for a re grease ,  pete

What did you use to reline the disc?  I have a couple I'd like to do.

@Wayne0    remember  more often than not , COLLECTIVE BEARING DRAG ON A  PTO DRIVE CLUTCH , is definitely telling you something  , often refer to rough bearings , lubrication failures , the majority of related bearings , can be easily cleaned out and re packed , with a 550 deg grease , also say how , my  pto drive belt to   attachment , moves with ease , no screaming clutch , or  burned disc , thats what you want to verify with a function check . those heat cracks  are telling you of such a  driven connection . just a suggestion . pete

@Wayne0

FWIW- I would never use that PTO bell again, short of a paperweight.

As has already been said, that thing is a grenade waiting for the proper centrifugal force to be applied. It will make for an interesting emergency room explanation...

I was thinking of welding it up before I saw how bad it was! It's going in the trash.
