The fairgrounds location for the BS is marked on Mike's map above if you zoom and move the map. Look above Ardentsville. It's the National Apple Harvest Festival. Northwest of Gettysburg

This Race car museum is close by and always wanted to stop by there and check it out but time has not allowed it to happen

I don't own a bike, but i enjoyed a tour of the Harley Davison motorcycle factory back in 2017 when I was in the area for work.

https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/content/factory-tours.html

The website says the tours are closed for the end of the year but will be restarting in 2024

It is about an hour drive from the Big Show grounds.

In the spring and early summer complete  museum and factory tours are available.

Later when the manufacture of the new models are underway, much of the factory is closed to tours.

If York, Pa. becomes part of your vacation, here are some other things that may be of interest.

York County History Center -- Agricultural & Industrial Museum (AIM) | York, PA 17401 (yorkpa.org)

York County Fire Museum | visitPA

I always enjoy a visit to the round barn.....Just a few miles from the Big Show.

The Historic Round Barn & Farm Market

Another place you may want to add to your itinerary would be the Hershey Antique Auto Museum. about a hour away.

So, just my opinion here. I have lived 27 miles (43 km) from Gettysburg all my life. Our family has been there so many times it's not funny. I just think of it as a spot on the map where we shop, go to the movie, and eat, however, for many it is a wonderful destination, filled with history, great activities, excellent restaurants and more. If your plan is to spend time in Gettysburg, I would book a hotel in Gettysburg, rather than one that's 25 miles away. The Big Show is only 8 miles from downtown Gettysburg. When going to Gettysburg, your first destination has to be the National Visitors Center. There you will find everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The Cyclorama, a 360 degree oil painting depicting the battle is also housed there. For audio tours, they have many languages available. You can head out from there to places like the (President) Eisenhower Farm, battlefield tours, etc. One stop I would suggest is the Dobbin House Springhouse Tavern for lunch or dinner. It's like stepping into history.

I second this! I've been there several times and it's a great museum!
