Kholer Magnum in Wheel Horse 702

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any experience with mounting a Kholer Magnum 18 engine in a Wheel Horse 702 or similar? Does it fit into the gap? Do I have to modify the engine cover? Thank you.

That's a lot of HP for a little short frame.

With the extra weigh up front steering will get a little harder.

Please try not to cut/modify the hood.  make some mounts to raise it up if need be.

I haven't decided yet, I have seen an engine for sale here in Spain, but as you say it may be too much, thank you!

The Kohler twin cylinder engines are considerably longer than the space you have available on a 702.  Unless you are a skilled fabricator and auto body worker I wouldn't advise getting in over your head. :twocents-02cents:

I’d surely advise against also!

Vanguards might be an option. They have a very small footprint and are much shorter than an opposed twin of any flavor. Also much smaller than Kohler or Predator v-twin as well. Might require some creativity with the air cleaner, but there are options for it.
