jonw440 196 #1 Posted November 26, 2023 Its been two years since I attached my snowblower to my tractor I do remember the chain was very loose but worked just fine.(I did adjust the chain but it was at the maxed out adjustment) I am wondering if you guys know the chain size and length and if so can I pick up the drive chain at a local Tractor Supply with a master link? ri702bill 9,359 #2 Posted November 26, 2023 Best to download the manual for it - early units used #41 roller chain, later ones #40. Chain is sold in a 10 foot section....
peter lena 9,242 #5 Posted November 27, 2023 @jonw440 also check out that chain sprocket , that sloppy chain was not helping anything , related to it ! that blower should turn over easily at the mule drive belt down angle area . that is telling you how much drag you have on the PTO DRIVE CLUTCH . every rotational related area / point should move with ease . specific chain / cable lube before and after usage , is good .penetrant make the rust run out , aerosol red grease , extension tube , move it by hand as you set up , Pete
