Any suggestions how to tighten up the latch? That 1/4" rod gets bent down, that may be what causes it to come lose. The holes in the hood may be worn. I had to patch mine the hole was almost 3/8" I made some 1/8" thick brackets and riveted them to the hood with small rivets that are used to hold ID plates.
