dgjks6 6 #1 Posted August 19, 2009 So after much thought I decided to repower my c-85 with a blown motor with this. It is the chinese knock off of the honds 13hp motor. Plus - no electronics or battery http://cgi.ebay.com/New-13-HP-OHV-Gasoline...id=p3286.c0.m14 But before I do I need to know how to hook up the drive pulley to the shaft. I am only going to use it to plow and pull stuff, so I do not need a PTO. Where do I get a pulley for it? How do I put it on? Then, how do I figure out what drive belt to use? wallfish 15,918 #2 Posted August 19, 2009 Measure the old pulley size. Measure or find the size of the shaft and keyway on the new motor. If the shaft is the same then you can just swap the old pulley on to it. If you want or need a new pulley you can get one here at Surplus Center. Surplus Center You should take measurements for the position of the old pulley on the tractor while on the old motor. Make the new one fit to the same location with new holes, brackets or shims. Use the same belt.
clintonnut 126 #3 Posted August 22, 2009 It says it has a 1" shaft so that means you can use the pulley of a C-85 because it has the 1" shaft also. Charlie
dgjks6 6 #4 Posted August 22, 2009 what is tapered though?
sawhorse 0 #5 Posted August 22, 2009 If you buy a motor make sure the shaft is not tapered. Tapered engine shafts are for generators.
