1985 Wheel Horse 312-8 Snowblower

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, quick question

As you all know winter is coming, witch means snow!

i'm 17 and have several wheel horse tractors

over the summer i picked up a 85 WH 312-8

It came with a 42 inch recycler deck

and a snowblower

i'm going to put the blower on, but as i have never put one on before is there anything i should check before use

hopefully im gonna put an add out to snowblow driveways but just thought id check and see what i should check over and do to it before use

Depending on how used it is you should check out the drive chain and the sprockets readjust if necessary and grease it up

:text-welcomeconfetti:to the :rs:      If you don't have them, download the manuals for your tractor and blower.   Make sure you get the blower belt routed correctly and on the correct PTO pulley.

@Vintage_Wheel_Horse_Lover  those blowers need a regular  check out for rotational , movement ease , the easier it moves , the better it is , that also refers to the PTO mule belt drive set up and , the idler belt pulley frame just behind the blower itself , auger chain , adjustment and correct lubrication for it , a number of details , that make them run with ease . look up on this site , snow blower mounting pictures , and related info , pete

Can you post pictures of the belt and idler pulleys and the lift rod flag area?
