Looking great!!! Those tires are definitely the right ones. Going to be a beautiful tractor when you are done.

There was one more thing I had hoped to save. It was badly bent and had to be straightened and a new nipple welded on. Took up the rest of my afternoon.

It isn't perfect, but it looks good enough.

Thank you!

Yes they look nice. Might be a bit harsh on my backside. They are heavy duty!

Just to say I did something today, I tried a new wheel color.

I like it :thumbs2:

This would be be the correct muffler but they are getting hard to find in 1 inch and when you do they don't exactly give them away.

I know but the one I have is what was on it, and I really like that pepper shaker style. Years ago when I bought it I remember it stood out to me that it was different.

I straightened it up the best I could and added another baffle in the neck when I replaced it. I hope it works well.

Well I got the engine ready to go to the machine shop. Took it all apart, cleaned the block. Also took the donor K181 apart for the piston. The piston looks brand new with the only scratches being what I put on it removing the old rings.

Also- the donor engine had an aluminum pan. Full size just like the cast version. I've never seen that before.

That's bizarre... crank is on the way.

Thank you!

I have found a NOS 2.885 (.010 over) piston and ring set. Probably won't be installed for a while until I get the crank ground so I know which rod to get. That matches what my block was bored for, and keeps the "smaller" original bore as well.

Correct piston came today. Needed to be cleaned up a little (light oxidation because it had been out of the plastic), and it looks great. Matches the bore perfectly. Little by little!
