David414 289 #1 Posted October 24, 2023 Looking at a wheel horse roto tiller model #712116, S/N# 809092 . Will this fit a 1989, 414-8? The RS manual section states that this is a 1971 model? Not sure what parts or attachments are needed to fit the 414-8. Are there any parts off the PTO to make the belt go underneath the tractor to the tiller? Anyone have pictures of this particular model attached to a classic 300/400 tractor? I am concerned that not all the parts, pulleys, idlers, brackets etc are complete with this unit. Thanks

daveoman1966 3,632 #4 Posted October 24, 2023 The tiller model 7-1211 is for tractors of 1972 and earlier. The later years have a different hitch and idler pulley. Here is a pic
David414 289 #5 Posted October 24, 2023 Thank you both for the quick reply. Seller claims that the 7-1211 came off a 314-8 tractor. The pictures listed under FB MKT Place shows the mule drive, belts, and the front guard and idlers for underneath the PTO. How did he connect this to a 314-8? Person selling has no info other than the pictures as the tractor was sold minus the roto tiller. I can see the different rear hitch and idler pulley from the pictures daveoman 1966 sent. Is it even possible to attach this older model to a 414-8 as they claim?
daveoman1966 3,632 #6 Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) I found the Tiller you're looking at. The ONLY things in see in the pics that would mate to a 314-8 traftor are on pics # 5 and #6. The TOP red thing is the MULE DRIVE for a mower deck. The BOTTOM red thingy is the Mid-Mount IDLER PULLEY assy used for a 36" tiller, but not for the tiller that is shown (although it may work). That Idler Pulley assy would be for a tiller model 07-36TL01 thru 07-36TL05). I've no idea what the angle iron assy contraption is. IMHO...the seller must have a different style of hitch on the back of his 314-8 tractor to even attach the tiller.... I also see a SLOT HITCH.... which MAY be part of the connection apparatus. Based on the mixture of parts, equipment years, and an unknown outcome, I will pass on this rototiller. Again, thank you very much for your help!
