Dry Powder Graphite

Recommended Posts

Lane Ranger

I went to one of my local auto stores to get some powdered graphite today.  Clearly told me that they are no

longer stocking powdered graphite and did not have any.  He told me TSC might have some.  Went to TSC and they did have some spray that does dry.   See pictures.

But the TSC staff person told me that they don’t have dry powder graphite any longer.

Have any other folks experienced this?  I use graphite powder on the Bendix on my extras start tractors as a routine maintenance item.

Natural Dry graphite powder is a main ingredient in EV batteries as well as a moderator in Nuclear Reactors, supply is being outpaced by demand.

I'm thinking that's what I did last time I bought it too.

I have the advantage of one of my local NAPA stores being the literal Warehouse. When they can't find something I take a part number from Mike like above and show them they ACTUALLY DO have it.

Menards stocks it in Automotive and in Millwork near the door locks. The brand in Automotive is cheaper.
