I was just wondering, the older tractors with the engine right between your legs, doesn’t it get too hot to drive it?

I certainly would not want a hot Onan between my legs.

I wondered that myself and have nicknamed them the ball burners.

Like sitting on an HD Road King at a long traffic light in July with temps in the 90's on a sunny day. @953 nut

not so much the engine but  that hot exhaust pipe by your right leg. Even with the shield it get very hot. You hit a bump and you're branding your leg.

Not quite, the Road King has a comfortable padded seat.                :laughing-rolling:

reese the rj mustve been terrible to drive the 5hp that was put in him the exhaust was pointed to your leg. which may have helped you not get so cold in that spot while plowing. ill have a 212 in him soon hopefully ill tell ya if it gets toasty
