Picked up a 310-8 on Thursday

Definitely not in pristine condition but it seems run smooth and the deck is quite as well.  My first magnum.  Cleanup and check over upcoming. Hoping to use it to replace an IH Cadet 81 for mowing between the yard and the field.  The hood is a little banged up and missing one of the bezels that surround the headlight. Deck is in need of talc but is solid with nothing more than surface rust.

Good for you! I love the smaller HP machines, and a Magnum 10 is a great motor :handgestures-thumbupright:

Nice find!

Give it a run through on the  maintenance list and start pretty-izing.

That'll be a good worker for ya.

Good find!  Should do great for that chore and about anything else you need to throw at it.

@JimSraj  would quickly drop the deck , clean it out and get a penetrating oil soak going on its , underside , leave it upside down , watch the lubrication effect on the metal , also leave the deck over winter with the same oil , just the opposed  of the life its been living . probably new blades ? any noisy bearings ?  that paint will easily come back , with a lubrication soaking , that slightly dull finish , is at a perfect recovery stage , done that many times , get a thorough a baseline , service , verify how things work , lots to do , done a few of those , , let me know , pete

Clearly you've never seen a "swamp fresh" southern rescue machine!

Looks great to me! Change the oil and use it!
