peter lena 8,072 #2 Posted October 14, 2023 @JoeM been rustproofing my stuff , most of my life , basically its lubrication stopping rust . like a lighter weight creeper penetrant , first in every closed crevasse , seam . joint . thats your base of protection . next go over it with a heavier , open gear spray , lubricant , that will seal itself to the lighter lube . don't have any rust / rot . visual checks to areas treated , areas , show a black tar like finish , every seam , fender well , doors , tailgates , suspension is rust free. wash my cars , and always under spray , asap. doing it for so long , just do it . amazing to me to see fairly new trucks , rotted out . my son just did a 2 gallon mineral oil , soak on a Mercedes , gear oil over spray , last a very long time , doors drip oil , Burlington Vermont , zero rust , pete
