E-141 Poof... Need Guidance

Went to get the E-141 SolarExpress ready for train duty and nothin, nada, zip... looked at the power disconnect and sure enough same issue as the A-60... Not sure though if Dans same fix? @Achto @wallfish @WHX??

They have a breaker 120 amp but not 125...

 

Part 19 - 125 amp fuse...

 

Definitely the issue - I jumped it with clips and it fired right off...

 

Help...advice...please...

Am I all wet, or did IT get wet??? Looks like a lot of discoloration (aka resistance) that could push it over the top.....

Age and oxidization may have cracked it? IDK Typically there would be a black spot if it burnt.

It cracked but no sign of sparks, discoloration etc... Pretty thin metal... 

 

@squonks fuse is 2" hole to hole. Mine is 1.5"+/-... Could rig it maybe... :eusa-think:

Looks like there's enough room to just drill new holes in the isolation board.

Do all 4 of them with new bolts?

Use a new piece of Masonite and make a whole new board?

We used to have "RENEWABLE" fuses that were just a cartridge with ends that attached to an element similar to that part. Available in different amperage ratings. Check fleabay, etc.?

Got her done... nothing with the correct pole distance so dremmel tooled a slight mod and fits like a glove.
