Pretty much on those decks, the easy way to do it - Start belt around center pulley and both sides pointing towards the idler side (left hand side from seat) , the front (from seat) length of belt going around the left hand spindle pulley, the rear flat face going to around idler, then thread belt to the RH spindle and start it in the front side of the groove, rotate all 3 spindles half turn and belt should pop right on in alignment and tensioned.

Thank you for the answers!!

I had to sit and study it for a little bit, but I figured it out.

I'm new to wheel Horse maintenance, so I will be asking more.

I  put that belt on  dozens of times and I still have to sit and study to get it right.

yes they put that belt routing decal on for a reason!   I have done it wrong several times and referred back to the belt routing decal!

I also have a 314-8, I'm replacing the same exact belt. I got the orientation correct, but for some reason the #93-9808 belt part number is not fitting... I'm like 5inches from being able to put it around the 3rd pulley. Is 82inch the correct size or should it be bigger? Here is a link to a similar belt I purchased: https://www.vbeltguys.com/products/93-9808-toro-wheel-horse-replacement-belt#trustspot-widget-wrapper

I'm a total newbie at this, first big fix I've done on the tractor after acquiring it 2yrs ago.

Any help would be so awesome!

Edit: May have answered my own question, I looked at the mower deck details rather than the actual tractor and found dimensions that made more sense with part# 102741, I have a 36" mowing deck. 96 1/4" is what the length was for this part. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow unless anyone else has any other suggestions.

Thanks,

-RM

The belt I got was 84x1/2 .But it is a bigger deck. 46 or 48, I think.
