Front mount sickle bar

Can anyone tell me will the early model front sickle bar fit on a 1966 model 856?  Thanks

Do a search in the Manuals section under Implements. Search for "Front sickle"

Saw 2 hits - seems these were designed for 1955 - 1961 smaller tractors. There is also a small article about someone adapting one to a front engine 701 - similar to yours.

Not direct bolt on and go if you're referring to the CBR-32 for the suburbans. I don't remember seeing front bars on the mid 60's tractors, side bars yes.

Anything can be modified to fit but do that on the tractor not the bar, those bars will loose most it's value if their modified or permanent changes made on them. :twocents-02cents:

There was a 32 inch front mounted sickle in 1962 for the front engine tractors such as the 702. They are extremely rare.  There are posts regarding them on this site.

@Pullstart modified a walk behind sickle bar to fit one of his machines with limited success.  There is a thread floating around somewhere on it.
