10 Day Weather Forecast

Recommended Posts

rmaynard

I live about 35 miles from the show. We have been having a drought this year. Maybe a half inch of rain in the last month. However, I think the rain is coming. Here the forecast for the next 10 days at the show.

I hope the forecast is wrong.

30% is fine. I am sure that will change. As always I put a call into the rain gods and told them no rain Thursday to Sunday! We are good to go!

It rained all night on the golf course.  As wet as I was and as terribler than normal that I played, I wasn’t complaining.  We need that nectar for the fields!

I'm 1 1/2 hours east of the show, and forecast is for sunny and 82 degrees.   So who knows?   Bob, if your forecast is correct, there is 70% chance of no rain. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:

There were a couple years when the rain would've been welcomed. 90+ deg and that high humidity was brutal. Old men and sweat is a bad combination

I'll worry about the forecast on Tues. It will probably change at least 2 more times before then.

I'm not sure about you guys. But I think weather forecasting is the biggest scam of the century. Pure snake oil salesmen the lot of them.

Oh I get all the science behind it, the pressure ups and downs etc.

But the forecasts we get over here change from hour to hour, now that's not forecasting! It's basically sticking a hand out the window of the meteorological office and saying it ain't raining yet!

We spend billions on the most powerful computers to crunch the data so our weather men can tell us it might rain or could stay dry. My grandad used to do that if his rheumatism played him up!

Formula one teams spend fortunes on trying to predict I'd a circuit will get rain during the race, but they still post a network of observers out at intervals to call back when rain approaches the track.

So all this expensive jiggery pokery  is nothing but a money making scam as far as I'm concerned. Look out the window, watch the trees, stick a pinecone on your back porch. It's as good as what these so called experts can manage.

Steps down from the soap box and awaits the backlash from meteorologist tractor lovers. Lol.

Totally agree. Being a meteorologist is the best job to have. You can be wrong 90 percent of the time, and still get paid.

Why be a doctor or engineer? If you get it wrong people die, if you get the weather wrong people do what they always did, moan about it and move on.

Apparently it came from the Scots Juke or to dodge and pawk or to trick. So jukery pawkery.

So it's our way of saying pretty dodgy dealings.

Thurs. Fri, Sat  Now 70-80% chance of rain and storms. System in Tennessee now. Never pays to get worked up for a favorable forecast a week before an event.
