rediron 5 #1 Posted June 8, 2023 Hi everyone needing some help with my grandsons 653 I painted it and got everything pretty much back together and looked up the belt for it ordered it and (1/2x70) and way to small?? I dont know if its ever been modified in any way it was a basket case when I bought it also trying to find a picture of the belt configuration to see if there are some pulleys I dont need to use not running a deck or anything else just the drive belt any help is appreciated !! Do check that the idler pulley bearing is free and working well. Same goes for the spring on the brake side - It HAS to provide enough tension for the belt to drive without slipping... Be sure the drive pulley on the Unidrive is TIGHTLY secured.... and as @Achto mentioned, you MUST use the belt guard.... Bill 2 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
