73502 GAUGE CLUSTER

Recommended Posts

old tool

Several years ago was able to update my acquired new 1990 520H with a 1997 model.  The only problem that I've had with it is the gauge cluster, when running, all lights are on solid with the oil light flashing on.  On the 1997 model, is this normal?  Where as my 1990, I believe they were blank and came on solid or flashed when there was a problem only.  Yes, because I believe I had an overheating problem on my original and I remember it flashing.   If this is wrong, any suggestions to begin to look for solutions?

WHX??

:WRS:

They should be all off when running except for the parking brake light which should be solid only if the parking brake is engaged while running. Sounds like you have a problem with the indicator light board or other electrical gremlin.

Welcome to Red Square

The operator manual will describe the light function.

Download the wiring file. Each circuit has it's own diagram.

The light circuit fault appears to affect all the circuits making one think the problem is power supply or grounds.
