Met a member yesterday!

Well yesterday morning I headed out with my tractor buddy (3 year old daughter) and headed due south to Anderson Indiana with the 520-H in tow.

Had a nice morning drive with my daughter and were able to spend some quality time together. We left the house a little after 8 a.m. after breakfast and we were on our way.

Destination..........Randy's house in Anderson, IN (aka porkchop) Rolled in to the driveway about 9:50 a.m. Randy was outside and waiting with his D-160, what a great looking tractor.

Hopped out of the truck, grabbed my daughter and was able to meet a really nice member. Randy and I talked about the tractors for a little while. He was gracious enough to show me his nice barn, with plenty of space for more horses! :thumbs2:

After talking for a while and watching my daughter pick flowers, and clover for a good half an hour she cam running up to me and said she needed to go to the bathroom. Randy was kind enough to allow my little girl go in the house and use their bathroom. I appreciated that more than you will know.

Well I started up the 520-H and backed her off the trailer and replaced it with a really great looking 1974 single cylinder Kohler D 160. He threw in all of his extra D parts for me and an older tiller. The tractor is almost completely done and I have just a few little things to finish her up. I was ecstatic to say the least and Randy seemed to be pretty happy to finally find a good mowing machine for his great piece of property!

I want to thank Randy for the hospitality, even though we couldn't stay for too long. Well I strapped everything down and we headed toward home. Now the day wouldn't be complete for a little 3 year old unless Dad stopped at a McDonalds and had some laughs together. We pulled in the driveway at about 1:45 p.m. and had a blast the entire time.

When my wife was putting her to bed last night after reading her a couple of stories she asked her....."What was your favorite thing that you did today?" my little angel replied....."Going on an adventure with Daddy!"

It doesn't get any better than that!

I am going to attach some pictures of the new D I acquired. Now these are the pictures that Randy had previously sent me. I hope that is ok.

Thanks again Randy.........and I apologize for the long post!

It was also great to meet Scott and his angel she picked half the clover in my yard!!! I have got to meet a few guys from around hear now and enjoyed visiting with all of them. Maybe we can organize a meet and greet or swap meet in my barn yard someday. There is room for quite a few campers and I do have a 200 amp service in the barn. Have plenty of wood for a bon fire also.
